SUNSET® Grape Tomato Pomadoro Pasta with Pesto

This quick and easy pasta is perfect to whip up on a whim. Grape tomatoes add a fresh bright flavor.

Makes 4 servings


1 dry pint or 12-oz package SUNSET® Grape™ Tomatoes, halved
1/2 lb dry orecchiette pasta, or substitute dry bow-tie pasta
1 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup basil pesto
1/3 cup high-quality, grated Parmesan cheese


Stir pasta into a large pot of rapidly boiling water. Cook according to package directions, or until al dente.

Meanwhile, heat oil in a medium nonstick sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and tomatoes, and cook for about 3 minutes or until garlic is tender and tomatoes are warmed. Season with salt.

When pasta is just done, drain it well and place in a large bowl. Toss well with the sautéed tomato mixture, pesto and cheese. Serve immediately.
