Mediterranean Inspired Tuna Crudo

This simple and refreshing dish is the perfect appetizer or light lunch.

Serves 4


1 mini cucumber, thinly sliced
1 mini cucumber, sliced into thin ribbons
1/2 lb sushi grade tuna
3 Tbsp olive oil
2 tsp fresh ginger, julienned
1 tsp chives, finely chopped
1 tsp black salt
2 tsp lemon zest


Slice tuna into 1″ thick pieces that are roughly a 2″ x 2″ square. Place on a chilled plate, side by side and rub each piece with a little bit of olive oil. Place cucumber slice on top of tuna. Top with a few slivers of ginger and sprinkle chopped chives on top. Garnish with mini cucumber ribbons, then finish with black salt and freshly microplaned lemon zest.
